Covid Rules - v2.1 – July 17th 2022

We are trying to prevent the spread of Covid via Over the Board Chess.

1. You are strongly encouraged to take every care to protect yourself and others from contracting and transmitting this virus.

2. If you feel unwell you should not attend the Club.

3. Hand sanitizer is available at multiple locations in the Club. You are strongly encouraged to use this:

    - when entering or leaving the Club

    - after going to the bathroom

- at regular intervals during your time in the Club

4. Windows must be kept open for ventilation purposes.

5. Watching of games is discouraged. In any case spectators should not stand within 2 metres of any other person.

10. Entering and exiting the club should be done one at a time and you should not congregate by the door.

6. If an officer of the club asks you to leave the room for any Covid-related reason you must do so.

7. If you develop Covid symptoms within 3 days of attending the Club you should contact a club official so other attendees can be advised.

Review date: December 31 2022 or sooner if there are any government related policy changes or other relevant factors.

1. Prospective attendees need to be advised in advance of the changes in procedure and any required compliance.

2. The Rules (Barry Chess Club Covid Rules) form an integral part of this Risk Assessment and should be read alongside it.

3. Rules should be clearly visible at the club.

4. Rules should be regularly reviewed to ensure they are in-line with governmental changes.

5. Rules should be placed on the Barry Chess Club website.
